Why Are HVAC Warranties Important?

HVAC warranties are important because they give you peace of mind and protection if something goes wrong with your HVAC system. When you buy something, a warranty shows that the company trusts its products and cares about quality. If the product breaks or has issues within a certain time, thewarranty will reduce or coverA man gives a side embrace to a woman as they look over their HVAC warranty, smiling in relief at their safety net. the repairs or replacements, so you don't have to worry about extra costs.

This protection means you can feel safe knowing that your money is well spent.

For instance, if your HVAC system’s compressor (a crucial and expensive component that can cost between $800-$3,000) fails, the manufacturer’s warranty can cover the cost of repair or replacement. However, without additional coverage, you may still need to pay for installation, labor, and refrigerant, which can significantly add to the overall expense.

Warranties are there to build trust between you and the company you’re working with. When a company stands by its labor and parts, it’s easier to work with them knowing a covered issue will be fixed for no cost.

Our team at A&E stands by the work we do, and we have 3 major warranties and promises to support that:

1. The Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee

A standout feature of A&E's warranty is the Lifetime Workmanship Guarantee. If an issue arises due to improper installation or a mistake on our part – think unglued joints or incorrectly fastened ductwork – we'll fix it for free, for life.

It's our commitment to quality and accountability.

2. Manufacturer's Parts Warranty

The parts of your system come with a manufacturer's warranty, which varies depending on the brand and model. Typically, this provides coverage for 10 years.

We handle the registration of every equipment piece and ensure the record stays in your customer profile, so it's one less thing for you to worry about.

3. Extended Labor Warranty

Here's something exciting: by enrolling in ourComfort Club Membership and adhering to the manufacturer's maintenance requirements, your labor warranty extends from 1 to 5 years. During this period, any repairs not covered by the manufacturer's warranty are on us.

What's Not Covered Through A&E Plumbing, Heating and Air?

At A&E Plumbing, Heating, and Air, we strive to offer comprehensive warranty coverage for our services and products. However, it is essential to understand that certain situations and items are not covered under our warranty policies.

Equipment Abuse

Our warranty doesn't cover damage due to misuse or neglect, including from external factors such as animal or pet damage. Examples of this include not changing air filters at regularly scheduled intervals, pushing the system beyond its intended limits (such as setting the thermostat too low or too high, over/under sizing the unit, etc.), or obstructing the system with plants or structures.

Refrigerant Issues

Important to note: refrigerant is not considered a 'part' by manufacturers. So, if your system leaks refrigerant, even if it's due to a warranty-covered coil failure, the cost of the refrigerant falls to you. Thiscost is typically between $100 and $320, but it varies depending on your system and its age. However, the labor for replacing refrigerant in such scenarios is covered under our warranty.

Homeowners must be aware of these exclusions to avoid any misunderstandings and to ensure proper care and maintenance of their HVAC systems to keep them in optimal working condition. Our team is always available to answer any other questions you may have.
